So if there’s one thing you should know about me it’s that Percabeth is my ultimate OTP. Percabeth is like no other couple in the entire universe. Nobody does it like them. Nobody ever compares.
BUT… occasionally I run across the perfect alternate universe representation of my favorite couple… so I’m going to share my top 3 “real” Percabeth AUs.
NUMBER 1: HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON
Hiccup and Astrid have the exact same dynamic that Percy and Annabeth do. The whole time I watched this trilogy, other than the “awwww’s” that escaped my lips whenever Toothless did anything remotely cute and the incredible soundtrack, all I could think about was how my percabeth loving heart was being fulfilled by these two dummies!
NUMBER 2: THE DRAGON PRINCE
I saw screencaps all over twitter and finally I decided that I was going to check it out and lO AND BEHOLD CALLUM IS BASICALLY PERCY (green eyes, absolutely adorable, smart, really dumb but hilarious jokes, and also doesn’t feel like he’s good enough ughhh I love him)… well, if Percy was a mage. And if Annabeth was an assassin elf sent to kill Percy’s kid brother. Oh… and Callum (and Ezran, his little brother) are princes… and there are dragons involved.
Literally WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME THIS WAS A PERFECT PERCABETH AU? WHY?!
NUMBER 3: BROOKLYN NINE-NINE
LISTEN UP, PERALTIAGO IS ONE OF THE MOST ICONIC COUPLES OF ALL TIME (at least in TV). It’s basically an AU if Percy and Annabeth were cops. Like… how are you not already watching this gem of a show? Also, this show is just so wholesome and hilarious and diverse (though I definitely want a hijabi character please and thanks).
