I read 120 books in 2021 and I had 29 favorites!

These are in no particular order but as you can see I definitely discovered my love for adult romance this year. I’d read books in the genre before but this year I have started to drift away from YA romance (at least those set in high school because that was like a decade ago for me and doesn’t hit as hard anymore). I still enjoy the occasional YA romance but I think I’m starting to prefer adult now, which is definitely an interesting development.
My favorite Audiobook was definitely Raybearer! WHAT AN EXPERIENCE. I listened to it during a long road trip and was just blown away by how I was immediately transported to that world. I usually prefer contemporaries for audiobooks but somehow this book just really got me!
Theft of Sunlight is one of my all time favorites of the year, of course!
My favorite conclusions would have to be Our Violent Ends and The Bronzed Beasts. TBB especially was one of the best conclusions I’ve ever read in my life!
Some honorable mentions of favorites would have to be:
-So Many Beginnings by Bethany C Morrow
-Six Crimson Cranes by Elizabeth Lim
-Tokyo Ever After by Emiko Jean
-Sweethand by NG Peltier
-Ace of Spades by Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé
I feel like I definitely should have included these but I was trying to narrow it down to a maximum of 3 favorites per month and so I had to sacrifice some. I did re read a few books and didn’t include those in my favorites (in case anyone was wondering why We Free the Stars wasn’t on this list!)
I can’t wait to find even more favorites in this new year! What were your favorites?
