World of Daevabad Tour: Daevabad Characters in Camp Half-Blood

First of all I’d like to thank Neelam @ The Tsundoku Chronicles for graciously letting me use her idea because I literally couldn’t think of my own and helping me out! As a demigod from Cabin 7 (Apollo), I got SUPER excited when thinking about what Cabins each character from this series would be sorted into! It was kind of fun trying to figure out each character’s godly parent. Just because it’ll make things make more sense, we’re just going to assume here that the canon parents/family aren’t there because that would makes things complicated for obvious reasons. We kind of have to suspend the “reality” of Daevabad to make this work but this was a really fun challenge!

ALSO THOUGH IF YOU HAVEN’T READ CITY OF BRASS (and probably Kingdom of Copper to be honest) MAYBE DON’T READ THIS POST BECAUSE I DON’T WANT TO SPOIL ANYTHING AND THIS WILL INEVITABLY HAVE SPOILERS SORRY.

Nahri

I think Nahri would think that she was a Hermes kid (con artist, thief… I mean, it’s obvious, right?) but then she’s be claimed by Apollo and be so confused because everybody else in the cabin has a pretty sunny disposition and she’s sort of… well… not.

Alizayd

The same way Nahri is mistaken about her parentage, Alizayd also is mistaken! He thinks he’s an Athena kid. I mean, he loves books, tries his hardest to make the right decisions (though he does tend to act a bit rashly and sometimes without thinking) and is naturally curious and smart. BUT, he’s definitely a Poseidon child and he’s NOT happy about that. I think this works really well not only because Poseidon and Athena are rivals, but because of the Nahri and Ali parallels throughout the books (which by the way, if you want to read more about, make sure to check out The Tsundoku Chronicles posts!

Dara

Listen my automatic response is Eris but she doesn’t have a cabin at CHB so… Nemesis it is! I mean, poor guy gets himself into lots of chaotic situations and is definitely looking for revenge a lot of the time!

Ghassan

Can Ghassan be Kronos in this situation though because honestly he’s so bad like… manipulative, terrible just… oh, wait… Hera?!

Manizheh

Okay so Ghassan and Manizheh are kind of in the same boat, right? But I think Manizheh fits more with Hecate. She has powerful magic and Hecate is also the goddess of crossroads and I feel like Manizheh offers a few choices and doors for her followers. She knows the power of her decisions and while she’s also focused on revenge and is a Nahid, Hecate really fits that persona.

Aqisa and Lubayd

Like Connor and Travis, Aqisa and Lubayd would be Hermes’ kids because they’re loyal and are smart and quick on their feet kind of thinkers. Honestly, they’re the best characters!

Zaynab

I think Zaynab would be a Huntress of Artemis. She’s smart and underestimated. She is a force to be reckoned with and her siblings would be NOTHING without her.

Muntadhir

He’s an Ares kid. Fight Me. Like how could he be anything else? While he’s very protective of his siblings, he acts rashly and HE MAKES ME SO ANGRY SOMETIMES.

Jamshid

I don’t know how to explain… but it’s Apollo. He’s an Apollo kid. While he also isn’t that optimistic and happy, there’s something about him that just gives off Apollo vibes *hint hint*

Hatset

Hatset IS Athena. Forget being a member of the Cabin, the cabin was in HONOR OF HER. She’s a true queen and puts her kids in place, especially with Mr. Potato Head Ali!

Nisreen

okay I’m cheating here but Nisreen would be indirectly an Apollo kid but actually be a child of Asclepius (a real trained doctor and not just of healing). In this sense, Subhashini and her husband would also be Asclepius’s kids!

Kaveh

Can I say Kaveh is a Dionysus kid? Don’t ask me to explain it just FITS? I dunno he just has that Mr. D energy.

Okay so maybe I didn’t do that great a job sorting the Daeva characters into Cabins BUT THIS WAS DIFFICULT. HONESTLY I COULD HAVE PUT THEM ALL AS ERIS’S CHILDREN AND IT REALLY WOULD HAVE WORKED. THEY’RE ALL CHAOTIC AND COMPLEX. What do y’all think?
