The Love Match by Priyanka Taslim – Jan 3

This YA rom-com follows Zahra, a Bangladeshi American who is matched with someone suitable in finances and interests. Except she fake dates him to get her parents off her back while falling for a young handsome musician! It’s super dramatic and fun and I loved the tidbits of culture!

The Kindest Red by Ibtihaj Muhammad and S.K Ali – Jan 10

Bookshop Link

It’s a sequel to the adorable and heartwarming picture book by Olympic Medalist Ibtihaj Muhammad and SK Ali and Hatem Aly!

You Think You Know Me by Ayaan Mohamud – Feb 2

Goodreads link

This book sounds right up my alley and yet I haven’t heard ANYTHING about this book except from MV In Publishing’s blog!

It’s described as THUG meets I am Thunder about Hanan, a Muslim girl who keeps quiet even when bullied but decides to speak up when a local man gets murdered. This sounds really intense and uplifting and I’m definitely intrigued!

Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi – Feb 28

I’ll read anything Shannon writes because her passion for incorporating historical tidbits and her world building and politics are always so so cool to read! Plus this book is about pirates??!?! Amina is a pirate that takes on the task of finding her comrade’s missing daughter for a very big sum… will Amina uncover a much larger scheme?

DOo you know any other books coming out in January or February by Muslim authors that I missed? What are you most looking forward to reading?
